Limestone County Recycling

Residents of Limestone County and residents outside Limestone County are welcome to bring recyclables to our Athens-Limestone Recycling Center located at 15896 Lucas Ferry Road – just south of Hwy 72 in Athens. The drop-off center is accessible 24 hours per day.

There are also community collection centers strategically placed throughout Limestone County for the use of LIMESTONE COUNTY RESIDENTS. Because there is limited capacity at these community collection centers, we ask that use be reserved for Limestone County residents. Anyone from outside Limestone County is welcome to drop off recyclable materials at the Lucas Ferry Rd. facility.

The following items can be recycled at the community collection centers: Aluminum cans, metal cans, plastic containers #1 & #2, glass bottles and jars (all colors), newspaper, office paper, junk mail/magazines/books/phone books. Trailers for cardboard are also located at the community collection centers.

•Clements High School
•Ardmore High School
•Ardmore City Hall
•Piney Chapel
•Athens Bible School (in Athens)

Smaller trailers are also located at:
•Bay Hill Marina
•Little Elk Missionary Baptist Church
